Historic Cotswold pub can be yours for £300,000

A 300-year-old pub with stunning views across the Cotswolds is up for sale for £300,000.

The Star Inn in Whiteshill is situated next to the Cotswold Way is described as a "super community pub" that attracts locals and walkers due to its proximity to the Cotswold Way.

It has a dining room big enough for 60 covers and a beer garden that offers superb views down the Stroud Valley.

Work is currently underway to construct two letting rooms in the attached Star Cottage, which also provides accommodation for the publican and partner.

It is being brought to the market by Colliers International with a guide price of £300,000.

In their marketing material, Colliers say: "Whiteshill sits above the busy town of Stroud on the northern side. It has only this one pub and is close to the Cotswold Way.

This part of Gloucestershire has much to commend it with the glorious countryside of course but also the commercial hustle and bustle of a major town too.

"The Star is prominently located on the road, unmissable as you drive out from Stroud, its handsome Cotswold stone façade having welcomed people for over 300 years.

"The Star is a super community pub that attracts a wider audience too.

"Customers enjoy the cosy bar with its beams and woodburning stove and also the conservatory extension that looks out across the beer garden towards the superb view down the Stroud valley that is a real talking point."
