Help give away £120,000 to charity this Christmas

This is your chance to nominate a charity to help it win a share of £120,000 - due to be given away by a Gloucester firm.

Insurance firm Ecclesiastical has asked Punchline readers to tell the charities they would like it to give £120,000 to as part of its annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign.

The specialist insurer plans to give 120 different charities an early Christmas gift of a £1,000 donation, with 10 winners announced each weekday from December 5 to 20.

All you need to do it let it know the name/s of a registered charity close to your hearts.

It is apparently quick and easy to nominate via the link in this story. Nominations are open from November 5 to December 19.

Winners will be drawn at random - and while it's not a popularity contest, the more times a charity is nominated the more chance it has of being selected. The charity winners will be announced on Ecclesiastical's website and on Twitter and LinkedIn each day.

Mark Hews, group CEO of Ecclesiastical, said: "Our annual 12 days of giving Christmas campaign will help charities change lives for the better and we know that for many charities, £1,000 can make a real difference. We're encouraging everyone to nominate a cause close to their hearts this Christmas to be in for a chance to win a festive financial boost."

This year, Ecclesiastical launched its second Impact Report to celebrate some of the many good causes it's helped.
