Hazlewoods advises on sale to leading children’s service provider

Cheltenham-based Hazlewoods recently advised on the sale of Budwood Limited to a leading children's services provider.

Budwood caters for young people aged 12 to 18 and aims to provide them with a stable home, where they receive high levels of support and guidance.

Rob Plumb, Hazlewoods director, said: "Budwood is a high-quality group, well placed to embrace the incoming regulation in the 16+ area of the children's services market.

"We were very pleased to have been given the opportunity to work with the vendors in taking Budwood to market and were able to successfully identify a new owner, who will maintain the fantastic reputation Budwood has built on the south coast.

"The 16+ space of the children's services market is expected to see a flurry of activity over the next year and new regulation will likely see high-quality providers become very attractive opportunities for investment."

Rachel Barton Coates, previous owner of Budwood, said: "Rob Plumb and the Hazlewoods team provided us with extensive guidance, support and professionalism along our journey of selling Budwood.

"Their knowledge of the sector stood out from others we considered, as well as their understanding of our business and our preferences and objectives for the future of Budwood. This gave us great confidence in our partnership and securing a perfect end result."
