A county transport specialist has provided support for the popular BBC show, DIY-SOS: The Big Build.
The programme mobilises volunteers to help carry out building projects for people who are especially deserving.
CM Downton, which has its HQ at Moreton Valence, near Gloucester, collected a shed from manufacturer Forest Garden in Hartlebury, Worcestershire and delivered it down the M5 to a house near Tetbury which needs more space.
The team from DIY-SOS, including Nick Knowles, designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and many other well-known faces from the show, were brought in to complete the work over a four day period. The resulting programme is expected to be broadcast later this year.
Andy Downton, managing director at CM Downton, said: "DIY-SOS has a history of transforming homes and we were very pleased to help out with this local project.
"In transport terms it was a very simple job but we needed to co-ordinate with the producers of the show and other parties to make sure the shed was delivered at the right time to fit in with the tight filming schedule."
A family-run independent logisitics firm, CM Downton employs approximately 1350 people at 12 distribution hubs strategically located throughout the UK. The business operates 600 tractor units and 1,800 trailers.
Customers include some of the UK's largest companies from a range of sectors including print and publishing, food and drink, retail, manufacturing, ink and paper, energy, waste and consumer goods.
