Hartpury's sporting sides win support from kit and footwear specialist

Hartpury College students are set to benefit from a new partnership with XBlades Sports.

The kit and footwear specialist, which works with a host of professional clubs in the UK and Australia, has added Hartpury to its list of partners.

It also provides Gloucester Rugby, with which Hartpury has close links, with all their playing and training kit.

XBlades will provide clothing for all of Hartpury's sports teams until 2022, as well as running their online retail store.

Hartpury's sports teams, which have won numerous national titles, will be decked out in the new kit from the start of their respective 2017-18 seasons.

Tom Radcliffe, director of Elite Sport at Hartpury, said: "XBlades are a partner that matches our desire in striving for excellence and desire for success.

"We are excited by the new partnership and look forward to working with XBlades as our kit supplier."

Lee Jenkinson, CEO of XBlades Sports UK, said: "We are looking forward to working with Hartpury College over the next five years as part of what will be a really exciting and wide-reaching partnership.

"Their proud history and winning mentality, both in the classroom and on the sports field, are values we closely associate with and the challenge of providing high-quality clothing to a wide range of sports teams with different individual needs is one we will relish.

"We've already discussed a number of ideas relating to the kit and associated training and leisure wear for next season and we look forward to revealing our designs in the near future.

"As part of this partnership, we will also take over their online retail operation and we are confident that our expertise and previous success in this area will bring great benefits and improvements, both for the college and for students for years to come."
