Gym group flexes its muscles with £100,000 bank package

A Cirencester-headquartered gym chain has secured a £100,000 finance package from HSBC UK.

Kiss Gyms will use the funding to acquire new equipment for its three studios in Swindon, Milton Keynes and Acton.

Kiss Gyms, which was first established in 2010, has purchased 45 high-tech spinning bikes for the three gyms. The state-of-the-art bikes are equipped with 'live fitness' features called Coach by Colour and ANT+ communication, which allow users to log-in and track their rides, as well as race other riders.

Rupert Mackenzie-Hill, owner of Kiss Gyms, said: "The new funding means that we can compete with larger gym chains and give our customers the best possible experience. HSBC UK helped me set up the business eight years ago and funded our previous expansion, so we are delighted that the team at the bank, led by our relationship manager Craig Pascoe, agreed such a competitive deal for this latest project."

Mark Self, HSBC UK's Area Director for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, commented: "HSBC UK is dedicated to helping businesses achieve their full potential, and having assisted Kiss Gyms previously, it was an easy decision for us to continue supporting the team. The business has gone from strength-to-strength and we look forward to seeing what Rupert has in store for the business over the coming years."
