GSSArchitecture appoints new Gloucester studio associate
By Sarah Wood | 16th August 2022
GSSArchitecture welcomes Derrick Osafo to its Gloucester Quays studio as associate and office lead.
The appointment follows recent success and continued growth for the business.
A chartered architect with over 26 years' experience, Derrick brings a wealth of knowledge to the practice.
He achieved both his architectural degree and postgraduate diploma in architecture from the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, before continuing his studies at the University of Westminster, London and the Bartlett School of Architecture, University of London.
A member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Derrick has worked on a range of projects internationally and throughout the UK.
Derrick's sector experience covers residential, hospitality, masterplanning, leisure, healthcare, later living, interior design, commercial, project management, property development and international property consultancy - all of which will further strengthen GSS's extensive portfolio.
Derrick Osafo said: "I am already enjoying utilising my skills and experience on a range of projects in the GSS Gloucester studio, the surrounding areas and across the UK. There is a great team at GSS, and I am delighted to be working with a talented and dedicated bunch of people on such a wide range of exciting projects."
Tom Lyons, senior partner at GSS, said: "We are very pleased and lucky to have Derrick join us at our Gloucester studio, and with his knowledge and experience, we are looking forward to further expanding our presence in the South West."
This is one of many recent expansion successes for GSS, which recently celebrated its Newcastle studio's relocation to larger premises, together with the promotion of Phil Hunt, chartered architectural technologist based at the Midlands head office, to associate.
