Important technical advice for those in the food and drink sector has just been issued by Cotswold Taste Ltd, the region's quality marque and B2B organisation.
The 'Technical Membership Pack' is the first publication in a planned series of 'Technical Guidance Notes'.
The work of Cotswold Taste Ltd's Technical Advisory Panel (TAP), a group of well-recognised technical professionals in the food and drink sector, it has taken a number of months to produce.
'We feel there is a definite need for something of this kind', says Laura Blair, director of technical at Cotswold Taste Ltd and director of Winchcombe-based consultancy Flair Food.
'It can help both intending businesses at the planning stages, and also act as a quick refresher for businesses who are already in existence and need to constantly check their compliance with legislation and good practice.'
The 'Technical Membership Pack' key sections cover due-diligence and technical compliance; food safety hazards and food hygiene; allergens; pest control and labelling legislation.
The pack also includes links to important websites which are helpful for further information purposes.
Nick Waloff, executive chair of Cotswold Taste Ltd, said: 'This publication is a very welcome addition to the support and assistance which our region's food and drink businesses need to succeed in fast changing and uncertain times with Brexit ahead."
