Gloucestershire Premier Inn employee takes centre stage in new advert

A Gloucestershire hotel receptionist has been selected from hundreds of people to take part in a major new national advertising campaign.

Ella Cullen, from Cheltenham has been chosen as one of the faces of Premier Inn's latest advert - joining a select handful of her other colleagues.

The advert will be seen by millions of people on TV screens across the UK and comes as the hotel group introduces its latest campaign Rest Easy, aiming reassure Brits that they can count on Premier Inn for accommodation as lockdowns ease.

As part of the campaign, Premier Inn reached out to Its employee's and invited them to audition to take part.

And Ms Cullen, 23, Cheltenham North West Premier Inn receptionist, jumped at the opportunity.

Having worked for the hotel chain for four years and looking to broaden her opportunities, she decided to send in a video application for the role and was thrilled when she got the part.

She said: "In the four years working at Cheltenham checking in people from across the world, our team has helped people from all walks of life to rest easy when they stay with us, as we work hard to make all parts of their stay enjoyable. It therefore made sense for me to apply to take part in the new advert and I was overwhelmed with happiness when I was told I got the role.

"I loved every minute of it. Our hotel reopens from May to leisure travellers, and we really can't wait to start checking people back in."

Tamara Strauss, global customer director for Premier Inn, said: "We're thrilled Ella has taken part in our Rest Easy campaign as our team members who work tirelessly to ensure all our guests have a wonderful stay, are absolutely central to the rest easy experience.

"All employees who took part are absolutely instrumental in representing the experience our guests get when they come to a Premier Inn."

Premier Inn hotels are set to reopen to leisure travellers from May 17.
