Cirencester occupant disturbed man who climbed through window

Officers in Cirencester are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary after a man climbed through a window while the victim was at home.

Police were called to Park Street at around 9.20pm on Saturday, April 1, with a report that an unknown man had climbed through a window which was ajar at a property and been disturbed by an occupant.
The victim confronted the man, who asked for money, and he was told to leave. The victim was not threatened or injured in the ordeal, but shaken up by what had happened.
The man was described as being white and in his early 20s. He was wearing a black hoody and black shiny tracksuit bottoms which had a white stripe down the leg.
Nothing was reported to have been stolen during the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the offender and investigating officers are asking for anyone who saw the man or anyone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward.
Additionally, officers would like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage who lives in the area which may help the investigation.
