77-year-old charged with Cheltenham murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 67-year-old Davinia Graham in Cheltenham at the weekend.

Charles Graham, aged 77 and of Fairfield Road, Cheltenham, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning (September 3).

No plea was indicated. The case was sent to Bristol Crown Court for a further hearing on Wednesday (September 4) and Graham was remanded in custody.

The charge relates to an incident that took place over the weekend. Emergency services were called to a report of a woman who had been seriously injured at a property on Fairfield Road at around 3.30am on Saturday (August 31).

Davinia, known to friends as Dee, was declared dead at the scene. Specialist officers are continuing to support her family.
