Gloucestershire food producer celebrates one-millionth sale

Wolfys, which is owned and manufactured by Kitchen Garden Foods in Stroud, are celebrating the sale of their one millionth pot.

The business is marking the milestone by donating a portion of their Black Friday sales to Meningitis Now, also based in Stroud.

Commercial director and joint owner of Kitchen Garden Foods, James Horwood said: "This week we sold our one-millionth pot and we're over the moon.

"Wolfys porridge has seen great success since its launch in 2014 with customers including Waitrose, GWR Trains, COOP, Booths, Ocado, Eurowings and hundreds of independent outlets, and we've now seen our one-millionth pot leave our premises here in Stroud.

"Black Friday is a huge time of the year for anyone with a product to sell, and while we've often offered discounts in the past, this year, we wanted to do something a little different.

"We're running a 'get 15 give 15' campaign, whereby our website customers can enjoy 15% discount on everything, and we'll donate another 15% of their sale to Meningitis Now.

"Email subscribers also get an extra special discount code which they can use to give themselves a bit more money off, or give a bit more to Meningitis Now."

James Moinet, operations director and joint owner added: "The unique thing about Wolfys is the little pot of jam or marmalade that's under the lid and it's that USP, along with the great branding and high quality that keeps our customers coming back for more.

"My aunt Barbara Moinet set Kitchen Garden up 30 years ago, and it's thanks to her, and her husband Robin, that we have this amazing platform to launch Wolfys from. It's been over 2 years since she passed away but I know she'd be delighted with the news of our millionth pot.

"Wolfys continues to grow at a fantastic rate, and I don't think it'll be long until we've despatched our two-millionth pot!"

Founded in 1989, Kitchen Garden now employ around 20 staff at their site in Salmon springs, have received over 100 awards and supply over 500 outlets across the UK and overseas.

All of their products are made by hand, in small batches, using only natural ingredients.

The Black Friday promotion will run on www.wolfys.co.uk between 28th November and 6th December.
