Gloucestershire firm completes deal for International Fire Consultants

Kiwa UK, the Cheltenham based subsidiary of the Dutch international testing, inspection and certification Kiwa Group, has revealed the acquisition of International Fire Consultants (IFC Group).

IFC Group is a specialist fire safety consultancy delivering advice and expertise to a wide range of professionals across the built environment. The business has 100 employees based in eight locations across the UK and has an annual turnover of c.£9.5million.

Kiwa UK, based at Malvern View Business Park in Bishops Cleeve, operates within the industries of construction, water, energy, global market access, EMC and electrical, agrifood and pest consultancy.

UK chief executive Paul Brown said the Kiwa UK Group has grown rapidly through organic growth and this new acquisition of will add a new service line to its existing suite of services in the UK.

"I am delighted to welcome the IFC Group team to Kiwa," he said.

"IFC's expertise and reputation in the marketplace complements our Kiwa service offering perfectly. The potential synergies from this joining of forces are many, as are the opportunities for innovation, growth and an expanding UK and international presence."
