PICTURES: Gloucestershire's fastest business crowned in charity karting event

More than £4,000 was raised for the James Hopkins Trust as businesses from across Gloucestershire took to the race track at a charity karting event.

A dozen teams from business across the county battled it out to see who were the fastest on four wheels, in an event sponsored by Punchline-Gloucester.com

Teams from Nationwide Building Society, Barnwood Shopfitters, Cemar, Gillman's, Roberts Limbrick, 360 Contra, Tidal Training, Bennett's Coaches and Laithwaites Wine did battle.

After a tense and enjoyable battle, the team from Tidal Training saw the chequered flag first and received a trophy donated in memory of Roy Bennett, by Bennett's Coaches.

But the big winner on the day was the James Hopkins Trust, who raised £4,200 for their work caring for severely disabled children.
