Two women injured in serious collision on the A40 in Gloucester

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on the A40 in Gloucester.

The collision happened shortly before 2pm on Wednesday (July 10) and involved a car and a pick-up truck.

Two women are receiving treatment with one being flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.

The road currently remains closed between the A40 and the A417 Over Causeway. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
