Food warehouse will create 30-plus jobs

One of the biggest names in high street food is set to open a new warehouse outlet in Cheltenham created more than 30 jobs.

The business is due to move onto the Gallagher Retail Park into the building formerly home to the former Whole Foods Market.

The Iceland's Food Warehouse is expected to create 35 jobs - five full-time and 30 per time - when it opens in mid-November.

Iceland already has one of its warehouse stores in the county - at the Peel Centre near Gloucester Quays - selling its range of wines, spirits, household goods and groceries.

But the new Cheltenham addition would be one of its biggest at new 2,514 square metres. It is reported the store will open a further 60 branches UK-wide in the next year.
