Gloucestershire business Regency Hampers expands

Luxury gifting business Regency Hampers has expanded its offering after acquiring another independent company.

The Gloucestershire-based online retailer launched in 2001 and has evolved into one of the largest luxury hampers and premium gift suppliers in the UK.

It specialises in corporate and personal hampers, predominantly food and drink, with many items sourced from the Cotswolds.

It first dipped a toe into the gifting sector with the acquisition of MouseHouse Gifts in 2010 - allowing it to offer new baby hampers.

It has now expanded further with the buy-out of Worthing-based business Ellie Ellie.

It sells handmade gifts for special occasions including jewellery, clothing, keepsakes and homewares.

Dan Perkin, sales and marketing manager for Regency Hampers, said: "We are excited to bring together the expertise of both Regency Hampers and Ellie Ellie. Together both businesses can help us create a range of beautiful gifts for all occasions and season's."

Cheltenham firm Randall & Payne LLP  advised on the acquisition. The chartered accountants, business advisors and tax specialists worked on the deal with Regency Hampers  owners Neil and Dan Perkins.

Mr Perkin said: "We were delighted with the guidance received from Oliver Newbold and the team at Randall & Payne, during the acquisition process."

Oliver Newbold from Randall & Payne said: "Ellie Ellie represented a great strategic fit for Regency Hampers as it not only allowed the organisation to expand both its product offering and customer base, critically, it afforded access to additional key e-commerce sales platforms."
