Gloucestershire business is sold

Adama Capital, an investment and portfolio management platform operating in the human capital sector, has announced the successful acquisition of RE People Limited (RE).

Trading as RE Recruitment, it is a regional, industrial recruitment company. RE has three branch locations covering Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and specialist onsite operations throughout the UK.

Founded by Richard East in 2001, RE Recruitment has provided blue- and white-collar staffing solutions for over 20 years, built upon an excellent reputation for client service.

The buying company is Taskmaster Resources, a long-established industrial recruitment agency, operating from 12 locations across the Midlands, the North and Scotland, plus a national footprint of onsites for multi-site customers. Taskmaster provides staffing and managed service solutions to the industrial, driving, public (NHS), commercial and utilities sectors.

RE will continue to trade under its own brand as a division of Taskmaster and be led by Mark Norton, RE managing director. The previous owners, James Gibbs and Richard East, will remain with the business to effect a smooth transition for customers and staff.

A Taskmaster spokesperson said: "We are delighted to have completed the sale of RE to Taskmaster. We believe that the two companies share a similar culture regarding empowering employees and providing a local, tailored customer service to clients. We are deeply grateful to the employees of RE for their past service and we wish them all the best for a prosperous future."

Adam Fletcher, co-founder of Adama Capital, said: "We are looking forward to working collaboratively with Mark Norton and the team and delighted to have completed this transaction. This is the second acquisition delivered for Taskmaster as part of a buy-and-build strategy within the blue-collar sector. The addition of RE further increases the group's national service delivery capability and brings additional sector expertise to benefit the wider customer base."
