Appliance maker’s cool idea to help cancer charity

Coming up with a way of linking your product to a good cause can be difficult, but an appliance manufacturer from Gloucestershire has come up with a cool idea.
The Tewkesbury-based manufacturer of a range including cookers, dishwashers, washing machines, tumbler dryers, refrigerators and wine coolers, Montpellier also produces some stylishly retro under the counter fridges.
Available already in cream, red and black the aforementioned fridge (the MAB2030PB) has now been launched in pure blue in time for summer, and for every one sold, Montpellier will donate £3 to Prostate Cancer UK.
Gabriella Fryer, head of marketing, said: "We're a family brand. We create products that are an integral part of family life, and we all, in some way, will have experienced how cancer affects families.
"We wanted to do our bit to make a difference. We hope that the MAB2030PB being an everyday essential part of a home, will act as a daily reminder of the cause and encourage more men to get checked."
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer.
Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, the charity plans to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
The MAB2030PB is an under-counter fridge freezer with a 26/60Ltr capacity, in-door can dispenser, 2* Icebox, A+ Energy. H83.5 W48.6 D53cm.
