Gloucester Rugby reveals new naming rights deal for The Shed

Gloucester Rugby has confirmed a major new long-term partnership with blister plaster brand Compeed.

Compeed has been unveiled as the naming rights sponsors of The Shed as part of a new high-level official partnership with the Cherry and Whites.

The iconic terrace, synonymous with the home of Gloucester Rugby and renowned for the raucous atmosphere made by the club's most passionate fans, will become 'The Compeed Shed'.

In addition to the naming and branding rights, which includes prime site TV advertising exposure, the brand will feature on the teamwear kit used by the first team squad for warm-ups on match days as well as on physio and medical staff bibs and water bottles used by the players.

The partnership with Gloucester Rugby will see Compeed provide support to the team's medical department helping players stay on their feet and performing at their best.

Compeed will also support the Gloucester Rugby Foundation, helping the community team to deliver beneficial projects to the community and will also receive additional significant digital exposure across the Club's owned platforms.

"We are delighted to welcome Compeed, a successful and globally recognised brand to the Gloucester Rugby family, " said Alex Brown, Gloucester Rugby's chief operating officer.

"Compeed is high regarded for the quality of their products and we have been impressed by both their passion for rugby and ambition.

"We have some exciting plans in place, so look forward to working closely with their team to deliver value through a long-term, flourishing partnership."

David Wright, CEO of HRA Pharma (the parent company of Compeed) added: "We're excited to be linking up with one of rugby's most prestigious clubs and to align our brand with the iconic Shed terrace. We can't wait to engage with supporters, a true Squad of Thousands, through content, competitions and opportunities as well as through the Gloucester Rugby Foundation.

"With Compeed's commitment to keeping people moving we're delighted our partnership will help deliver support to both the team as well as to benefit the wider community through the work of the Foundation's inclusion and participation programmes."
