Gloucester offices in demand as Cheltenham rents climb

Demand for office space in Gloucester is picking up - thanks in part to shortages of accommodation in neighbouring Cheltenham.

That's according to Dorian Wragg, a commercial partner at Bruton Knowles, who said higher rents in Cheltenham are also persuading people to take a second look at Gloucester.

Dorian said: "Many Georgian office buildings in Cheltenham have been converted to residential, reducing supply there and prompting businesses looking to scale up to look at purpose-built accommodation just down the road."

Dorian Wragg has just let 2,730 sq ft at Goodridge Court in Quedgeley to a local firm of architects.

Goodridge Court is just two miles from the city centre and Junction 12 of the M5 and offers modern office space which has been sub-divided to provide a flexible range of offices and meeting rooms.

It also includes allocated parking and is handy for the Orchard Retail Centre.

In addition, Dorian has let 2,000 sq ft on the ground floor of nearby Olympus House to Protrack.

Olympus House is almost fully let with only 5,000 sq ft available on the second floor.
