Gloucester-based sports nutrition brand Nutrition X has been announced as the official performance supplement partner to Scottish Rugby.

This new three-year deal will see the Scotland national teams (men, women, 7s programmes and U20s), as well as Glasgow Warriors and the FOSROC Super6 clubs, provided with some of the world's safest and highest-quality performance supplements.

The partnership will not just cover the provision of performance supplements tailored to the demands of elite rugby but will also cover an extensive education programme to ensure that players are maximising their ability to develop, perform and recover.

It will also see the expert team from Nutrition X working closely with the performance staff of all squads to support our high-performance environments. This will include specific research projects that will target our ability to train and recover optimally through fuelling, adding further to the extensive research already underway within the High-Performance department and ensuring that we are constantly striving for the best environments for our athletes.

Scottish Rugby's head of Athletic Development, Andy Boyd said: "We are delighted to welcome Nutrition X on board for the next three years."
