A former aerospace factory is set to be demolished and replaced with 77 new homes by a Gloucestershire developer.
The Gloucester-based housebuilder has won permission to demolish the former home of UTAS Aerospace Systems and redevelop the 3.3 hectare site.
Newland Homes is the firm behind the plans for the site of the former factory, which closed in 2017, and aims to demolish all but the Court de Wyck and Chapel, both grade II listed buildings.
It has also won permission for a change of use to both buildings off Bishops Road in Claverham and plans to also convert these to homes.
Just last month Punchline also reported how Newland had won permission from Wiltshire Council to build 87 homes off Station Road in Westbury.
Newland has numerous projects afoot across Gloucestershire, including forthcoming sites at Whitminster and Prestbury as well as Wallbridge, Stroud and Coley Junction at Cam and Dursley.
Earlier this year Newland Homes was recognised in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, which lists UK companies with the fastest growing profits.
It is the second time the business has been recognised in the respected listing.
The Sunday Times praised Newland Homes' strategic approach to housebuilding, which led to a profit growth of 58.55 per cent.
The firm's January to March quarter was its most successful in its 28 year history.
