Nick King Car Sales Ltd of Bristol Road, Gloucester, has been ordered to pay more than £2,000 in fines, costs and surcharges, for failing to notify the police who was driving a BMW 118d owned by the firm at the time of an alleged motoring offence in the county.

The company pleaded not guilty to the charge at Cheltenham Magistrates Court in June but was convicted at a trial held on September 11.

Magistrates fined the business £1,000 and ordered it to pay a £400 victim services surcharge and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £620.
