Children at a Gloucester school will be more than a little pleased the company building them more classrooms is EG Carter & Co Ltd.
Not only is the city-based family business helping renovate and extend Finlay Community School to give the children and staff better facilities, it is making possible a very special trip for pupils.
A class of year four children is developing their historical skills, through learning about the history of flight.
To help the children understand the subject, Kerry Davies, a teacher at the school has organised for the children to be taken on an aeroplane to and from Edinburgh - and EG Carter is making it possible with a £500 donation.
Kerry said "For many of them, this will be their first time on a plane. I am currently looking at a trip from Bristol Airport to Edinburgh in June 2019. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for some.
"As a school, we ensure that our curriculum is designed to raise aspirations, for children to develop a sense of place in the wider world and enable them to make a valuable contribution to society.
"We believe, that this will help them build themselves a better future."
Sam Carter, of EG Carter, which has a turnover approaching £70 million said: "We are thrilled to be supporting Finlay Community School and are looking forward to helping the children understand more about modern day travel and creating memories to last a lifetime, hopefully it is a successful trip for the school."
E G Carter started work at the School in February, under their framework agreement with Gloucestershire County Council. The works are due for completion in October 2019.
