ProCook awarded UK’s Best Workplaces recognition

Gloucester-based ProCook has been ranked among the UK's Best Workplaces in 2022.

The accolade was awarded by Great Place to Work, following the results of an in-depth employee survey shared with the brand's 700 strong UK workforce, including around 200 at its headquarters in Quedgeley. The survey measured employee satisfaction and workplace culture.

With an overall positivity rating of 83 per cent, ProCook, which has stores in Gloucester and Cirencester, scored over 80 per cent in many key focus areas, including leadership behaviour and effectiveness, communication, camaraderie and community.

Sarah Wheatley, HR and ESG director, said: "Workplace satisfaction is key to the performance of any organisation, so it is crucial we focus on the happiness of our employees and uphold ethical and inclusive business practices. It's very rewarding to know our colleagues agree we're doing a good job.'

Daniel O'Neill, founder and CEO, said: "I'm immensely proud of this achievement, as we have done a huge amount of work to ensure our employees are provided with an environment that enables them to thrive. To receive such positive feedback from our own people tells us we're on the right track, and to see we rank so highly amongst UK companies as one of the UK's Best Workplaces is the icing on the cake.

"ProCook has seen great success in the past few years and we couldn't have achieved any of it without the hard work and dedication of our retail, warehouse and head office teams. I want to thank every single employee for their contribution and look forward to the future."

Benedict Gautrey, managing director of Great Place to Work UK, said: "Even in times of agonising uncertainty, at Best Workplaces the shared mantra of 'purpose over profit' has stood firm.

"We're incredibly proud to recognise the 290 companies on our list for their outstanding workplace cultures, and unwavering commitment to supporting employees, so they can deliver the best strategic solutions to ever-changing business opportunities and challenges."

Last week, ProCook revealed an almost 30 per cent revenue growth in the last year.
