A Gloucestershire Georgian country house hotel is on the market.
The Burleigh Court Hotel in Minchinhampton is up for sale with Colliers International at a price of £1.6m for the freehold.
Remodelled in around 1900 by Clough Williams-Ellis - who created the famous village of Portmerion on the Welsh Coast - the Hotel stands in two and a half acres of beautifully maintained grounds in the Golden Valley, and has a lodge house at its entrance which is also available by separate negotiation.
Burleigh Court is one of a handful of hotels of this size and quality in the Cotswolds. Well located for both Gatcombe Park and Westonbirt Arboretum, it boasts 18 rooms in an elegant setting.
Peter Brunt from Colliers International's hotels team said: "The hotel's location enables it to thrive on a good mixture of commercial and tourism guests.
"The Stroud Valleys, once the woollen mill capital of the Cotswolds, have welcomed a raft of light industry and businesses bringing further prosperity to the area, as well as a good deal of business to Burleigh Court.
"In addition to solid local trade business, many visitors drop in for the national hunt racing at Cheltenham and of course the Badminton Horse Trials.
"Our clients have owned Burleigh Court for the past 15 years and run the business under management, but with a young family to look after the decision has been taken to sell the hotel."
The Grade II listed building has a reception room with a large fireplace, a lounge and an oak panelled bar with views over the valley. Its restaurant seats 36.
