Furloughed workers in Gloucestershire up to 89,000

The number of workers on furlough under the Government's coronavirus job retention scheme in Gloucestershire has risen to 89,000.
It is up 12,700 from 76,300 across the county in June.
The biggest number is in the Gloucester City Council area with 19,300 employees on furlough - up 3,000 from the previous month.
Cheltenham has 17,000 furloughed worker - up from 14,500 - with 16,000 in the Stroud district, up 2,400.
There are 12,900 in the Cotswolds - a rise of 1,700 - with 12,500 in Tewkesbury (up 1,800) and 1,400 more in the Forest of Dean taking the total to 11,400.
Across the South West, there are 771,400 on furlough - up from 654,800 - while the numbers across England rose from almost 6.45million to more the 7.6million.
