FSB brings back breakfast networking

The Federation of Small Business (FSB) is returning to the breakfast networking scene in Gloucestershire after a two-year gap.

The FSB ran a series of successful breakfast events in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds in 2015 and 2016 but as numbers started to fall they shifted attention to the Bristol area where the events are still going strong.

Now, however, due to popular demand, the breakfasts are returning to the Jury's Inn, in Cheltenham, with the first event set for Friday, September 14, and the Gloucestershire FSB team say they are delighted to be back networking in the country.

''We know there are a lot of very good quality networking events already in Gloucestershire but we always feel the FSB events offer something a little different because of our relaxed and informal approach that often attracts people who are not used to networking elsewhere but feel comfortable doing so with us," said FSB Gloucestershire development manager Sam Holliday. "The breakfasts are open to everyone - not just FSB members - and judging by those people from Gloucestershire who have travelled to our Bristol event we are certain there is a demand for what we can offer."

The format for the breakfast is the one pioneered in this area but which now run throughout the country under the banner of #FSBConnect. Everyone who attends will have a chance to talk about themselves and their business around a table to fellow guests in a two minute slot before doing the same at another table allowing the opportunity to make contact with many different people. Attendees can also enjoy a time of informal networking before and after the event - and a good quality buffet breakfast as well.

''The #FSBConnect format is one we always get a lot of positive feedback from and it is amazing how many times myself, and my fellow host FSB Membership Advisor Mark Whittle, get asked about when it will come back to Gloucestershire. So, now, we're going to trial a new meeting in September and we will look at the success of that one before deciding how to proceed in the future and how regularly we will hold them."

The cost of the breakfast is £12 and pre-registration is essential as there will be no pay-on-the-door facility.
