Former bank building on the market

It's only been closed a few weeks, but the former RBS building in Gloucester is already up for sale.

The former bank, in Westgate Street, is on the market for £400,000. Arranged over five floors, the building has a total floor area of 5,000 sq foot.

The bank closed on 1st August and is available to view through GVA in Bristol.

RBS announced back in May that it planned to close 162 branches. It said at the time that most of the branches were close to either another RBS branch or a Natwest - and that RBS customers could use Natwest branches for their everyday banking.

Punchline said: "Gloucestershire has lost far too many banks over the last couple of years, but this means prime retail space close to The Cross has become available. We hope to see a retailer move in and make their business work in the city centre."
