Forest of Dean man charged with 13 fraud offences involving more than £21,000

A 34-year-old Lydbrook man who has admitted thirteen fraud offences involving more than £21,000 while working as a cashier is to be sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court next month.

Aron Cleaver of Bayhead Villa, Central Lydbrook, has indicated guilty pleas at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to the charges of fraud against Alison Mills by abusing his employment as a cashier or a lottery cashier and failing to safeguard her financial interests between August 2018 and July 2021.

The charges state that his frauds were intended to make financial gains for himself. Twelve charges refer to sums of between £50 and £500 for each offence but one, dated between August 8, 2018, and July 2, 2019, says that he intended to make a gain for himself of £17,840.

The magistrates committed him on unconditional bail to Gloucester Crown Court to be sentenced on October 14, 2022.
