Fire breaks out at Stroud District business park

Fire broke out yesterday at a business park in the Five Valleys.

Five fire engines were sent to deal with the incident at the 12,000 square foot factory run by QS Powder Coaters Ltd.

Crews from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called just after noon on Thursday, June 6.

"There was a fire at a commercial bulding on Nailsworth Mills Estate, Avening Rd, Nailsworth. Crews had brought the fire under control by 2pm and left the scene by 2.22pm," said a spokesman for the fire service.

Six breathing apparatus and one hose jet was used.

"No one was hurt and it is business as usual," said a spokesman for the company.

Staff were busy today dealing with the smoke damage caused by the fire and going through the process of checking its equipment and stock.

QS Powder Coating's customer base includes heritage windows, conveyors, signage, architectural, electronics, road Safety and railings.
