Final call for Mecca Bingo Gloucester

Mecca Bingo will close its doors after almost 50 years of thrills in Gloucester.

The bingo hall in Eastgate Street has announced it will shut for good next month with an exact date yet to be confirmed.

The company has thanked all of their customers for their support.

In a statement on Facebook, Mecca Bingo said: "We're very sad to confirm that Mecca Gloucester will be closing, and we want to say a huge thank you to every single one of our incredible customers for their loyalty and support for the last 46 years.

"Please bear with us while we all adjust to the news, but feel free to pop in and have a chat. We'll keep you updated here on what our plans are for the coming weeks and when we have a confirmed closing date in August."

In the comments section, people called the news "devastating" and "very sad".
