Film shot in Gloucestershire set for release

A new film which tackles the issue of knife crime that was shot entirely in Gloucestershire is set for release next week.
'Boy in the Corner' is the first full-length feature film directed by Gloucester-born Joshy Lee, aged 27.
"The film is a social crime drama that was filmed entirely in Gloucestershire," said Joshy. "It focuses on an array of social issues, but predominantly knife crime, peer pressure, and the importance of role models."
The narrative is a combination of real events taken from people around Gloucester, from the lead actor Cyran Vergara (who is now studying HNC film in GlosCol), to Increase the Peace activist Alfie Baker, to Joshy and Luciano D'Amato, the film's producer and co-writer.
Joshy added: "Knife crime isn't spoken about enough. It doesn't take much searching to find the impact that it has had on a lot of people throughout Gloucester.
"This film doesn't claim to have any answers and is, of course, a character-driven narrative, but our hope is that it at least starts a conversation, or brings further awareness to those that may need it.
"As far as we are aware, there hasn't been a project like this, especially a film based in and made entirely in Gloucestershire and by Gloucester-born filmmakers.
'Boy in the Corner' has been picked up by a UK distributor and will be released on Sunday, November 14th, through SkyStore, AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Google Play, and many more.
