Forest Green Rovers cement estate agency deal

Fans of Forest Green Rovers might fear that the club's future in the English Football League isn't safe as houses, but the team's success in building new business partnerships continues with a local signing – Parkers Estate Agency.

The franchise property and lettings agency, based in George Street, Stroud, has agreed to an undisclosed partnership basis which will see the firm join the ranks of 33 existing partners and step up alongside brands both big and small, ranging from such names as ethical investors Candriam and vegan label Brewdog Beer to plant-based food giant Quorn and sports fashion brand Umbro.

Parkers will also be rubbing shoulders with local names that include Grundon waste management, tech giant Renishaw PLC and Stonehouse-based Lister Unified Communications, who supply licensed radio and telecoms know-how to ensure all aspects of match days run smoothly.

Paula Brown, FGR head of commercial, said she was "thrilled" by the new agreement.

In a statement, the club added: "Parker's Estate Agents has long been a prominent figure in the Stroud community, and their alignment with Forest Green Rovers reflects a mutual dedication to local values and sustainability."

A pledge by the agents to plant a tree for every house sold has been key to the deal, with FGR saying that the move "perfectly echoes Forest Green Rovers' mission to champion environmental conservation and sustainability".

Justin Branch, director and part-owner of Parkers in Stroud said: "We are proud sponsors of FGR and share their deep-rooted passion for our local community, our joint desire to build a better future in all aspects of local life, and continue to support our environment by planting a tree for every house we sell."

FGR added: "The collaboration between Forest Green Rovers and Parker's Lettings Stroud exemplifies a union based on shared principles of community engagement, environmental stewardship, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the Stroud area."

● Sponsorship can include a mixed menu for brand association, with options for specific games that include the company logo on a team sheet, social media promotion on FGR channels, picking the man of the match and a replica shirt signed by the squad, while firms are also invited to special VIP sponsor events, as well as representation on the club website. Branding packages around the stadium and digital platforms are also offered.
