Fashion retailer to close at Quays

A fashion retailer is to close its Gloucester Quays store.

Ten staff are set to lose their jobs when FatFace closes on February 22.

But shoppers looking for a bargain will get lucky if they move quickly. There are big markdowns in store and the stock is selling fast.

FatFace moved into the 2,017 sq ft unit in May 2022, having closed its previous store at the Quays in 2020 - a victim of the Covid lockdowns.

The retailer, which also has stores in Cheltenham, Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold, was snapped up by Next for £115m in October 2023.

But it reported a £3.2 million loss in October 2024, which it attributed to adjustments following the takeover by Next.
