Fashion retailer launches repair and re-wear service

FatFace has launched a repair service to extend the life of its clothes.

The fashion retailer, which has stores in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold, has teamed up with Clothes Doctor to offer a mending and alterations service to customers.

Cornwall-based Clothes Doctor is offering FatFace customers three different services to prolong the life of their clothes - repair, alter and clean.

Repairs include mending a variety of holes, replacing buttons or zips, relining coats and reversing frayed collars.

Alterations include shortening trousers and skirts, taking garments in or out and even lengthening skirts and dresses.

To take advantage of Clothes Doctor's services, customers simply request a quote online and put their parcel in the post. It will be returned ready to wear in seven to 10 days.

For customers who feel confident about tackling their own repairs, FatFace also includes a repair guide on its website.

The retailer was B Corp certified earlier this year and is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2025.
