Fashion brand in line for Gloucester Quays arrival

Gloucester Quays is poised to welcome a leading fashion brand when the retail outlet reopens after lockdown.

Luxury women's brand Hobbs London is in line to become the next arrival at the Quays after advertising for a store manager.

The advert said the right applicant would need to "deliver outstanding customer service within the outlet to create a truly premium customer experience.... within our new and soon to be opened outlet."

Hobbs, which has a branch in Cheltenham, was founded in London in 1981 and is part of the same group which includes American retail giant Bloomingdales.

The company would follow Tommy Hilfiger, Beauty Outlet, Molton Brown and Neon Sheep as new arrivals at Gloucester Quays since the start of the pandemic.

Barring Holland & Barrett, which is classed as an essential retailer, and takeaways or click and collect services at food outlets, the Quays is closed until restrictions are relaxed on April 12.

The outlet saw trading up more than 40 per cent on pre-Covid levels in August after the initial easing of lockdown.
