Experience a day in the life of a King's student
By Matt Hall | 2nd March 2020
King's School Gloucester are opening their doors on Friday, March 6 for parents to see what life is like for students at the school.
The Working Open Morning, running 9.15am to 11.30am, provides an ideal way to gain a first impression of King's on a typical school day.
With 630 pupils, girls and boys, aged 3 to 18 King's sees itself as one of Gloucestershire's leading independent day schools.
Set in an inspiring cathedral setting, the school said that it is committed to providing students with academic excellence, outstanding pastoral care and a unique programme of co-curricular opportunities.
The school also said that families throughout Gloucestershire are continuing to send their children to King's for a great all-round education. They added that their countywide bus service and range of scholarships and bursaries make their education accessible for all.
Headmaster David Morton is proud of the pupils' achievements, the high standards of behaviour and their tremendous enthusiasm for school life.
He said: "For all achievements and results, however, it is the feel of a school that is important.
"Visitors are often struck by the strong sense of community and, importantly, as a day school, family time is valued, with no Saturday school (although plenty of sport and extra-curricular activities are on offer)".
On the open morning, pupils will give parents a tour of King's where they will have the opportunity to meet teachers and explore the school's first-class facilities.
The headmaster, members of the leadership team and the admissions staff will be on hand to explain admissions procedures, scholarships and bursaries and to answer any questions.
