Expansion on the cards for A38 business park

Owners of a business park near Tewkesbury have applied for permission to expand.
The 1.7-acre site proposed for the expansion sits next to the well-established Highfield Business Park, adjacent to the A38 near Tewkesbury.
The scheme will provide an additional 15 industrial units for light industrial use, covering 1,900 square metres in four distinct blocks.
Design of the new units will be consistent with those currently on the site, and access to the expansion will be via the existing private estate road which serves the rest of Highfield Business Park.
A report submitted as part of the application reveals that the business park was 'initially created as part of farm diversification of Highfield Farm' and that it has 'proved to be a very popular and successful rural business park'.
Existing tenants on the site include Bankside Tackle, Signlink, Premiere Healthcare, Sasha Interiors, Gloucester Biltong, Direct Supply UK, PLG Insulations, Red Earth Systems and Revolution Air Services.
It is not clear how many jobs the development could create, however the plans suggest that the new units will prove attractive to small to medium sized businesses within the county.
The proposal includes a further 67 parking spaces, 15 motorcycle spaces and 15 cycle spaces.
