EXCLUSIVE: Cheltenham restaurant goes into liquidation

A restaurant on Cheltenham Promenade has gone into liquidation, only a year after opening.

Santiago's Tapas at 23 Promenade, a building owned by a local private investment company, has now closed. The keys to the property have just been handed back to Cheltenham-based commercial property consultants, KBW.

Richard Knightley, senior director of commercial agency at KBW, said: "We've already made contact with a few potential parties and given them the heads up that the property is coming back onto the market. We're hoping that there should be some good early interest in this fully fitted restaurant premises."

Santiago's also has two restaurants in Cardiff, which are still trading.
