Event season to close by asking, what is the future of farming?

A season of events championing technological innovation in agriculture will culminate in a show-case two-day event at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester next week.

The AgriTech and the Future of British Farming will be the subject showcased on Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5 at the Rural Innovation Centre in Cirencester.

It will mark the end of a season of events run by Farm491, the AgriTech hub at the Royal Agricul-tural University, throughout February, March and April.

Commercial tech showcases, industry debates and on-farm demonstrations will all form part of the two-day event which will explore the potential of technology such as robotics in the sector.

Each day will have two farmers' discussion groups with a focus on a particular agricultural prob-lem that needs a tech solution.

A series of field demonstrations will be schedule throughout the day outlining their ready-to-market products and research.

Dr Karen Rial-Lovera, RAU Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering and Technology, said; "Our two-day event will conclude what has been a very successful AgriTech Season with Farm491.

"The objective of the season has been to coordinate all those connected to the AgriTech industry - to share knowledge and insight, and to showcase the essential role that technology has to play on the agricultural industry.

"We look forward to welcoming delegates to the event which is set to be engaging and inspiring for everyone in the sector."
