Evans Jones: Building for the future

Surviving three recessions, an oil crisis and now a global pandemic, Cheltenham-based Evans Jones is stronger than ever and ready to embrace the next 50 years - and beyond!

As it prepares to enter its 50th year, the firm of property and planning consultants has announced a new brand and growth plan for the next era in its history.

Established in 1972 by original founding partners Eric Evans and Prys Jones, the company operated as a successful and respected technical surveying and planning practice for many years. After joining the practice in 1990, David Jones, the now managing director, and co-director, Ian Eggleton, have grown Evans Jones from a local practice to the nationwide, multi-disciplinary consultancy it is today - operating from offices in London, Cheltenham and Reading.

With the pandemic forcing many businesses to reinvent themselves, it has been a time of reflection and refocus for many business owners. For Evans Jones, its focus is on the future and emerging from the pandemic stronger and fitter than before and continuing its expansion into new target markets and geographical areas.

David Jones, managing director, said: "Our brand has served us well for many years, but it is from a different age - well before the digital usage of today. Our new brand is a modern, fresh image, which will give us a platform for our future growth, whilst reflecting our values of professionalism, trust and responsibility.

"I was asked recently what advice I would give to my younger self. My response - be bold and always push yourself out of your comfort zone. This is our mantra for the business as we invest in our people, processes and technology over the next five years and beyond. The logo really is just the start and gives us a platform for further growth, so watch this space!

"Gloucestershire is a fantastic place to live, work and do business. We are hugely optimistic about the future and, with the level of development planned across the county, the future is bright."
