Estate agent names its first charity of the year

Gooch Estate Agents has chosen the Pied Piper Appeal as its 2018 charity of the year.

Celebrating 32 years in business, with branches across Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, staff at the independent family-run firm are excited about creating activities to raise funds for the charity.

Tom Gooch, head office manager at Newent, said: "This week we have been busy selling raffle tickets to win a big teddy, Billie the Bear!"

Nicola Hughes, head of sales, said: "For over 32 years we have supported local events and charities, but this is the first time we have decided to focus on one main charity. We are planning to do a Mud Run in May, and other fund raisers in and around the county including the famous Newent Onion Fayre and Coleford Music festival.

"We are a close and active team; having a charity to support brings us all together from across our branch network. Watch this space!"
