Emergency services called to fatal collision in Brockworth

Emergency services were called to a fatal collision which took place on Whittle Way, Brockworth on Friday night (July 2).

The single vehicle collision, which happened close to the entrance of Tesco, occurred shortly before 11.30pm involving a Mercedes car.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s and from Brockworth, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

The passenger, a man in his 30s and also from Brockworth, was taken to Southmead Hospital after sustaining injuries which were serious but not life threatening. His next of kin is also aware.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and the road remains closed. Businesses remain open and alternative access is available.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard the incident and who has not already spoken to police.
