Dunelm partnership to create jobs

Dunelm's latest partnership will help stressed out customers assemble flat pack furniture.

The retailer, which has stores in Gloucester and Cheltenham, has collaborated with local services marketplace Airtasker to help people construct their new furniture, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Dunelm said the new partnership will take away unnecessary stress away for shoppers and create flexible employment for people local to its stores.

The scheme was trialled at 18 stores and is now set to roll out to all 180 branches of Dunelm and online.

Airtasker said furniture assembly is one of its most in-demand services, representing more than 15% of tasks posted each year. With many of the tasks originating organically from Dunelm's customers, a more formal arrangements between the two businesses was a natural fit.
