Drugs warrants executed in Cheltenham

The search began at around 6.50am this morning (June 22) and is part of a planned and intelligence-led operation.

Gloucestershire Constabulary has executed simultaneous drugs warrants across Cheltenham this morning, Tuesday 22 June.

Officers from the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Force Crime Operations Team, Tactical Operations and Dogs Unit executed the warrants at addresses in the St Paul's area.

This began at around 6.50am and is part of a planned and intelligence-led operation.

A 24-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and remains in police custody.

A number of weapons, a large quantity of cash, drugs paraphernalia, electric bicycles and mobiles phones have been seized and searches at the addresses are continuing.

Officers would like to thank the local community for their co-operation and patience while police remain in the area.
