Double scoop for Gloucestershire company at national elearning awards

Europa Group in Thornbury is celebrating after winning two national awards for excellence in elearning.

Clients of Nimble Elearning came from all over the UK to Stonehouse Court Hotel to attend their annual Nimble Community Day and awards ceremony.

Insurance solutions company Europa Group stole the show winning two awards; Positive Business Impact and Elearning Professional of the Year, won by Tammy Mullan.

They competed against national brands such as Whitbread, Ann Summers, JoJo Maman Bebe, P&O Ferries and West Country-based companies such as National Star College, UK Power Solutions and Yeo Valley.

Managing director, Neil Hyde said: "The Nimble Awards have been set up to recognise excellence in elearning. We thought it was a neat way of showcasing and celebrating the many examples of exceptional work that is really making a difference to our customers' training up and down the country."

Nimble themselves were recognised as Company of the Year 2017 at The Stroud Life Awards. They are now also finalists in Gloucestershire Business Awards in the category of Digital Business of the Year, and this cemented the commitment to hosting their own awards. The Nimble Awards trophies were a bespoke build, created by local craftsman Simon Metcalfe of SDM Design with his 3D printer.

Elearning expert Clive Shepherd, who has 40 years in the industry, made a second appearance. After initially judging the awards, Clive gave a keynote speech on the changing skill set of the learning professional and present awards to the winners.

Mr Hyde said: "It is great to have a speaker with Clive's depth of insight addressing delegates at the Nimble Community Day. Put simply, he is one of our industry's key experts in media and technology for learning at work, with experience working in countries all over the world."

Nimble were keen to showcase local produce to those visiting the five valleys and provided goody bags with goods from Stroud Brewery, Cotswold Chocolate Company and vouchers for Stonehouse Court Hotel alongside contributions from national customers too.

Nimble Elearning employs a growing number of staff at its head office in Bonds Mill, Stonehouse and a team of software developers in Bristol. Together, they have created a product which makes it very easy for companies to create their own professional, engaging elearning courses.
