Double digit growth for furniture retailer

DFS recorded big growth in its third quarter, which ended on March 27.

The furniture retailer, which has a store in Cheltenham, said this was despite "significant cost inflation and retail price increases", as reported by Retail Gazette.

DFS said it has increased production, but ongoing Covid related supply chain disruption and lower orders since April mean it has lowered its expectations for year end.

It now expects full year revenues for the UK and Ireland of around £1,150-1,160 million and underlying profit before tax of £57-£62 million.

DFS said it remains in a strong financial position and well positioned in the furniture marketplace.
