Fancy a dinner cooked by Phil Vickery and served by Gloucester Rugby stars?

Dinner cooked by a Gloucester Rugby and England World Cup winning legend who turned into a Celebrity Masterchef is the top prize at a Gloucestershire charity auction.

Mitcheldean-based recruitment specialists Simplicity are holding their second annual charity auction at the Brickhampton Court Golf Complex on Thursday, August 22.

The top prize is being advertised as a 'money can't buy' experience.

And that's because it's dinner cooked by Phil Vickery and served by two current Gloucester stars.

Vickery rose to fame playing as a tighthead prop for Gloucester and England, winning the World Cup in 2003 and captaining his country to the final in 2007.

Since hanging up his boots the Gloucestershire resident has found fame in the kitchen, winning Celebrity Masterchef in 2011.

There are three tables, each for four diners, available to bid for at the auction with the prize winners tucking into their fayre at the Queens Head in Longford.

As well as Vickery in the kitchen, the rugby theme carries on with the waiting staff with current Gloucester stars Henry Trinder and Charlie Sharples acting as waiters for the night.

The charity auction takes place on Thursday August 22   with tickets costing £40 per person. A two-course meal and entertainment is included in the price.
